BuggyChat has received a major renovation. It
now features a search box to search the site while you chat as well as other
cool features. If you are in the forums you can type a message asking people to
meet you in chat. If you put this text on a line: [chat]
it will be expanded into a chat entry box so that the viewers can easily enter
chat.
Hit refresh on the login page to make sure you are looking at the latest page
and check it out. |

Dune-Buggy.com and be seen by the thousands of viewers every week. For a
short time, there is a very inexpensive introductory rate as well as some other
options for free advertising. I'm so confident that it will be beneficial to the
businesses that I'm going to give you your money back if you aren't satisfied.
Try getting that kind of an advertising guarantee from a magazine or newspaper.
Because there are now alternatives for businesses to advertise here, the
commercial advertising rules will be strictly enforced in the other areas of the
site.

If you can read this, you're looking at the new server. I'm still ironing
out some bugs but things appear to be going smoothly so far.
The new gallery is online and I have hundreds of pictures to add as time
allows.

I took the BuggyTrader and BuggyTalk archives down in anticipation of
switching servers. We will be moving to a bigger and better server with what
should be a very fast connection to a major internet backbone provider. With the
new server, disk space and server load will no longer be a concern.
I'll also be putting up a new photo gallery with hundreds of new pictures as
well as a section for businesses to advertise their products.
I was on the server this morning for the first time and have been
transferring files and working out the bugs all day. The process will take up to
a week to complete.

Although my new Turbo Engine has been slow in development I got all the
details worked out. With any luck I can turn that junkyard bus engine in my
driveway into a driveable buggy engine with a turbo and EFI. At some point in
the future the real plan is to make 2276 with a turbo cam and 6:1 CR
ratio. The goal is to have a big motor with adequate bottom end for the
mountains and power out the wazoo when the turbo kicks in. Anyway read the
turbo info here. It is expansive and somewhat technical in nature, a simple
version will be made as I install on the my own engines. |

The Bookstore has been moved into the BuggyLinks database to allow easier
updating and to allow the books to be rated. I picked out the best books and
left out the garbage but I'm still looking for a couple good fiberglass books.
I've been working on a Turbocharger section that is 90% complete. It covers
how to put a junkyard turbo on a small engine. If you would like to see the

Photos can now be uploaded to accompany a link in the BuggyLinks database on
the Home page. In addition, you can input any combination of text, URL,
and Photo. Please let me know if you find any bugs. (I still need to simplify
the entry form)
The Information on the Racing page and the Trails page has been moved into
this database. |

BUGGYWEBS:
I'm also in the process of finishing up work on a program that allows users to
create their own web site. You can upload photos, create a calendar, have your
own chat room and guestbook. It is currently functional but not yet linked to
the rest of the site. You can view the
web pages I made to test it here.
If you would like to create a page go
here.
If you just want to see the editor and test it for
future use, create a web in the uncategorized community and name the user "test_yourname".
That way I know to delete them later.
This section and a future addition will replace the gallery, tech tips,
trails, and racing pages.
